Treasure Troves & Pirates’ Booty

Attending an international destination wedding is a great feat of time, effort, and funds. We are so appreciative of your dedication to our celebration, and we hope to make it worth your while. Time together and happy memories are silver and gold. No additional gifts are expected. If you would like to give a gift, here’s our guide:

Something Old, Something You

Some people say that you should “stick to the registry”, but that’s not our style. We love something handmade, something thrifted, something from your travels, something from your community, something made by an artisan, something made by a child. We read paper books, watch movies that come on discs, listen to vinyl records, and grow things in our garden. We celebrate a trinket, a doo-dad, a curio, an oddity, a tchotchke, an ornament, a souvenir, an objet d’art. We like things that are cute or weird or elegant or colorful or amusing or useful or energetic or ephemeral or serene or tasteful or inscrutable. We love art made by our friends and family.

Something New

We are registered with The Knot. This website aggregates registries from Crate & Barrel, West Elm, Anthropology, Amazon, and Esty, along with items from around the internet. Some items (particularly Etsy) may be listed at incorrect prices on The Knot, so double check before check-out. If you have any trouble with The Knot, search for “Rita Chapot” on the individual store’s registry.

Cash Gifts can be sent via paypal (ritachapot@gmail.com) or venmo (rita-chapot).
